Savio’s Recent Rise In Brazilian Football
The 17-year-old has come through the youth ranks of Atletico Mineiro and has done well to break into their first team recently. At such a young age, Savio has already made 23 senior appearances for the Brazilian club thus far.
The Sao Mateus-born talent has caught the eye with his performances as a key member of Atletico Mineiro’s attack. However, he is still waiting to score his first goal for the Brazilian outfit.
Is Savio A Prospect For The Future?
Savio is undoubtedly a player on the rise and has got the potential to become a top player in his position someday. He primarily operates as a left-winger but can even fill in on the right flank or as a secondary striker down the middle.
At 17, the Brazilian wonderkid has got a very bright future ahead of him, so Man City will do well to get him on board in the not-too-distant future as he has got the ceiling to become a top performer in English football.
Savio can use his quickness to make a few clever runs with the ball out on the wide areas. He is a technically gifted footballer who can keep the ball moving with conviction in the final third. However, the Brazilian prospect needs to add more goals and assists to his game if he wants to become a regular starter in top-flight football.
All in all, Savio is undeniably a prospect for the future as long as he continues to improve himself with each season. However, he might struggle to adapt to life in English football. Still, the pros outweigh the cons of signing Savio which is why Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola should think about trying everything in his power to bring him to the Etihad Stadium later this year.
