Antonio Conte has claimed that he is very surprised by Chelsea’s unbeaten run in the Premier League this season.
Chelsea are right now at the top and their rivals have been dropping points. The Blues have been in sublime form in the Premier League having won 11 matches on the trot.
Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have been phenomenal in this season. Costa struck his 13th the goal against Crystal Palace that later proved to be the winner. The Spaniard has rediscovered his form and is looking sharper and agile than before.
Hazard has been a key factor behind Chelsea’s stupendous form. Conte has been playing with 3-4-3 and player has benefitted from this as the deployment of Marcos Alonso as the left wing back allows him to concentrate more on his attacking.
Conte said, “If I am honest, no. No [I couldn’t have imagined it]. Not because I don’t trust in my team. But I know this league, and this league is very tough.
“To win any game, you must [put] all [of] yourself into it. To have nine wins in a row is fantastic. I hope to continue this, but if you ask me if I hoped this, then yes. But I wasn’t sure.”
