John Terry has been told that he will be not offered a new deal. Terry signed a one-year extension at the start of the season but hasn’t featured much for them due to prolonged injury.
It is being reported that Antonio Conte has told the 36-year old that he is not in his plans and the club will not extend his contract. Having experienced many ups and downs, the veteran defender has played almost close to 700 matches for the Blues and has been part of a number of trophy winning squads.
He has won a Premier League four times, a Champions League, a Europa League, the League Cup three times and won the FA Cup a record five times. He has been with the West Londoners since he was 14 and apart from a brief loan spell with Nottingham Forest, he has spent his entire playing career with the Blues.
The club could offer the defender a mentor role after his contract expires but the veteran also has a multi-million pound offer to play in the Chinese Super League.
