Aston Villa entertained Manchester United at Villa Park earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a result at home. The Villans made a poor start to the game as they shipped in the opening goal in the sixth minute when Bruno Fernandes scored after a mistake from Emiliano Martinez. The West Midlands outfit failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Fernandes managed to double Man United’s lead in the 67th minute with a powerful finish. However, the Villans refused to give up without a fight and got themselves level via a goal each from Jacob Ramsey and Philippe Coutinho. The match finished with Steven Gerrard’s men earning a 2-2 draw in front of their home supporters.
