“Manchester United Have The Finances”: Kaveh Solhekol Offers Manchester United Hope For Erling Haaland Pursuit

Manchester United are in a bit of a muddle at the moment. Their poor performances on the pitch have translated into uncertainty surrounding the future of their star players and indeed, the board members. The recent announcement of Ed Woodward’s departure at the end of January has further fueled the speculations of a potential shake-up.

In the most recent segment of The Transfer Show, Kaveh Solhekol has offered an update on Manchester United’s transfer policy. The Sky Sports pundit suggests that the club may not spend much in this ongoing January transfer window, but they do have the finances to attract star players in the summer.

“I think it is unlikely that Manchester United will go out and spend a lot of money this month, but I think they are in a position that they will be able to spend big money in the summer and strengthen their squad, if the whoever is the manager at Old Trafford in the summer wants to his strengthen his squad.”, he said.

Solhekol added that Manchester United are in a position to even attract someone like Erling Haaland. “There will be a new manager. Mauricio Pochettino is still somebody they are very interested in. If he was to come in and say these are the players I want, Erling Haaland for instance, Man Utd still have the finances to sign a player like Haaland.

However, Solhekol did suggest that Manchester United may have to qualify for the Champions League if they are to sign the Norwegian international in the summer. “They have the money available to do the deal. But the question is, are they going to be in the Champions League? That is the big question.”, he added.

Meanwhile, Erling Haaland himself has pledged the Borussia Dortmund fans to give everything he can during the second half of the campaign, hinting at a potential exit at the end of the season. There are suggestions that the Bundesliga giants are keen on extending the player’s contract, but that remains an unlikely possibility, especially after the club’s shocking exit from the Champions League group stages.
