In a recent report, El Nacional have identified AS Monaco Aurélien Tchouaméni as a replacement for Casemiro. It is believed that Los Blancos are planning to secure the services of the French youngster if Casemiro leaves next summer.
Tchoumeni’s Impressive Form In French Football This Season
Tchoumeni is having a solid campaign at the Stade Louis II as he has been responsible for putting in a run of dominant displays at the heart of Monaco’s midfield. The 21-year-old has scored two goals in 28 matches for the French side this season on all fronts.
The Rouen-born talent has given a good account of himself by averaging 2.5 tackles, 2.7 interceptions, 0.7 clearances, 1.7 shots and 1.0 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Ligue 1. He has even been excellent when distributing possession from midfield after completing 86.9% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
Is Tchouaméni A Good Option For Real Madrid?
Standing at 1.87m, Tchouameni is a strong presence at the centre of Monaco’s midfield and can dominate games on his own at both ends of the field. He is a solid tackler of the ball and can sense the danger quickly to secure the ball back for his team.
The French prospect doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and can even strike the ball with power from long range. He is also proficient at pulling off a few powerful runs with the ball from midfield.
Tchouameni has the complete package and would be an excellent acquisition for Los Blancos if they can get a deal done for him this year. He would serve as an ideal replacement for Casemiro at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and could go on to form a dominant midfield partnership with Eduardo Camavinga at the Spanish capital for years to come.
At 21, Tchouameni has still got a lot of room for improvement, so the Madrid giants can expect to see him develop into a top performer in the future. With all things considered, the Monaco whizkid will be a great option for Carlo Ancelotti to consider at the end of this season.
