The Mancunian giants will set themselves up in a 4-2-2-2 formation with Rangnick expected to make one tweak to his starting XI for this game. Edinson Cavani might get the nod to start alongside Cristiano Ronaldo up top in the absence of Bruno Fernandes who is suspended for this clash at the Theatre of Dreams.

Scott McTominay will anchor the midfield along with Fred as they look to gain some control of the battle at the centre of the park. Both of them need to step up and give a good account of themselves if the Red Devils are to come out on top this Thursday night.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani are expected to lead the line for Rangnick’s side up top. Cavani managed to put in a goal-scoring display off the bench in his last league outfit, so he will be confident about producing a similar performance in this midweek clash.
