In a recent report, Fichajes revealed that Real Madrid could land Juventus left-back Alex Sandro on the cheap during the January transfer window. It is understood that Juve are planning to let the Brazilian talent leave next month which could open the door for Los Blancos to seal a cut-price move for him.
Sandro’s Up And Down Season In Italian Football
The 30-year-old has struggled to perform at his best for the Turin giants during this campaign. Sandro has participated in 23 matches this season, registering one goal and one assist in multiple competitions.
The Catanduva-born sensation has been a bit inconsistent but has still done well to average 1.4 tackles, 0.7 interceptions, 1.3 clearances, 0.6 shots, 1.0 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. He has even taken care of the ball really well when distributing it from the left flank after making 85.1% of his attempted passes in both those competitions (stats via whoscored).

Should Real Madrid Move In For Sandro This January?
Sandro has a decent pace under his belt and can make some energetic runs down the left wing. He is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his side. The Brazilian full-back is a tidy passer and can create some inviting chances for others around him. However, he needs to work on improving his productivity in the final third if he wants to be a success story at a club like Real Madrid.
Currently, Los Blancos have got Marcelo and Ferland Mendy fighting for a regular starting place in Carlo Ancelotti‘s first XI. However, the former has just got over six months left to run in his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Thus, it makes sense for the Madrid giants to replace Marcelo with someone like Alex Sandro who can benefit from a change of scenery this winter.
