League leaders Rangers hosted Dundee this afternoon in a crucial Premiership encounter. They grabbed an edgy midweek win against Hibernian at Easter Road, but the fixture at Ibrox proved to be a stroll in the park for the reigning champions as they claimed a commanding 3-0 win against the Dark Blues.
Below are the Rangers players rated in their comprehensive win against Dundee.
Allan McGregor: 7
Made some routines saves and was hardly tested between the sticks. A routine clean sheet for the veteran Scotsman in Rangers goal.
James Tavernier: 8
Had a free-kick saved by Adam Legzdins in the Dundee goal. Was lively from the right-hand flank with his marauding runs, crosses and attacking expertise.
Connor Goldson: 7.5
Played it out from the back as he maintained a high passing accuracy from the deep. Had a header denied by Legzdins, and also maintained his composure at the back by winning duels and making timely recoveries.
Calvin Bassey: 7.5
Forced the Dundee custodian to make a stop early into the second half. Did well defensively amid limited threat from the visitors. Looked sharp while regaining possession in the defensive third.
Borna Barisic: 8
A much-improved display from the Croatian left fullback as he won all the duels during the contest. Looked menacing with his crosses and cut insides, while also performing his duties at the back with recoveries, clearances and interceptions.
Glen Kamara: 7.5
Dominated the midfield game with his technicality and vision. Played his part in Aribo’s opener, also made some timely tackles despite being dispossessed on one occasion. Made way for Ryan Jack minutes after Morelos’ goal.
Scott Arfield: 8
Replaced Steven Davis in the centre of the pitch. Almost found the net but was denied by the woodwork early into the second half. Forced Legzdins to make a save, however, the Canadian dominated the midfield game with his smart link-up play and movements.
Joe Aribo: 9
Star of the match for the Gers who not only scored spectacularly to break the deadlock but also forced Ryan Sweeney to score an own goal from his dangerous delivery. Received plaudits from the fans while making way for Juninho Bacuna late in the match.
Ianis Hagi: 6
Had some sparkling moments down the right but was mostly disappointing, particularly in one-on-one situations. Struggled physically at times and was eventually taken off to be replaced by Scott Wright midway through the second half.
Fashion Sakala: 8
Had an impressive outing from the wide in the absence of Ryan Kent. Tested the keeper a few times and kept on causing menace in the Dundee backline. Failed to find the net in spite of coming close repeatedly.
Alfredo Morelos: 8.5
Was denied by Legzdins time and again before finding the net to make it 3-0 around the 70th-minute mark. Could have added more to his tally but was denied off the line late in the match.
Rangers Substitutes Vs Dundee

Looked lively down the right with his dribbles and directness since replacing Ianis Hagi in the second half.
Ryan Jack: 6.5
Enjoyed his minutes as he is working towards regaining full fitness after a lengthy injury layoff.
Juninho Bacuna: NA
Played too little to warrant a rating.
