Manchester City will clash heads with Newcastle United at St. James’ Park this Sunday afternoon as they try to pick up all three points and consolidate their position at the top of the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s men managed to secure a 7-0 win over Newcastle United in midweek, so they will be full of confidence ahead of this game.
The Man City boss might stick with his favoured 4-3-3 formation and could make a few changes to his first-team for this game. Both Raheem Sterling and Kyle Walker are expected to start while Aymeric Laporte and Jack Grealish drop to the bench.

Defence
Ederson will feature in between the sticks for the Mancunian giants after he kept a clean sheet in his last league outing. Kyle Walker could be named at right-back as he returns from an illness while Joao Cancelo will fill in as the left-back. John Stones will partner Ruben Dias at the heart of Guardiola’s defence as they try to restrict the Magpies from scoring during the 90 minutes.

Midfield
The visiting side’s midfield will be comprised of Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri and Bernardo Silva. The talented trio will focus on dominating possession at the centre of the park and engineer some decent chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.
Ilkay Gundogan will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the second half if needed.
Attack
Raheem Sterling will get the nod to function as the left-sided wide player while Riyad Mahrez would look to give a good account of himself on the right flank.
Phil Foden will get the responsibility to lead the charge for the Mancunian outfit up top. The English winger will be eager to put in a good showing in the final third.
