Manchester United hosting Tottenham will bring together some of the best players in the league. Although United wouldn’t be able to catch Spurs even with a win, they will close the gap while Tottenham could well enter the top four bracket if they manage to win at Old Trafford and other results go their way.
Manager- Mauricio Pochettino
Undoubtedly, Mauricio Pochettino has been the better manager when compared to Jose Mourinho. In the league, Pochettino has got his tactics bang on target and barring the downfall against Chelsea, Tottenham have been quite resilient so far. Mourinho, on the other hand, has been faltering, failing to get his combinations right.
Right Back- Walker
Kyle Walker is one of the best right backs in the league at the moment. Although his injuries prevented him from getting back to form soon, the English side back has been quite lethal at times, ripping apart defences and steady like the rock at the same time.
Right centre-back- Eric Bailly
United got a huge injury boost when they Bailly shook off his injury to play against Zorya. Although the Ivory Coast international is still adapting to English football after arriving this summer, he has shown a promising start to the season.
Left centre-back- Jan Vertonghen
Talk of an intelligent defender and Jan Vertonghen is up there. He is a top drawer central defender with the likes of Koscielny and Luiz at the moment. His game reading ability helps him intercept most attacks.
Left-back- Danny Rose
He is fast, he is strong and he is rock solid. The Tottenham left-back has been a beast of a defender. At such a young age, he is bursting with confidence and is not shy to go into tackles.
Central Midfielder- Paul Pogba
Although he isn’t the best of central midfielders in the league just yet, but he surely has the ability to become one. The big money signing is slowly becoming an important piece of the United puzzle and Mourinho is looking to build the team around him.
Central Midfielder- Dele Alli
A technically gifted youngster, Alli has shown way more maturity than his age where creativity is concerned. The England midfielder’s injury has shortened his campaign a bit but now he is back and running and scoring.
Left Wing- Christian Eriksen
Eriksen has been a crucial player for Tottenham since joining. His cracker of a goal against Chelsea had set the platform for the taking against Chelsea but Tottenham failed to capitalise on it. He will the danger man again tomorrow.
Striker- Harry Kane
His return has surely added a lease of new life to the Tottenham attack. His presence at the front gives a sense of assurance to the Spurs team. With Alli returning, Kane’s link up play and finishing will be the biggest danger to United.
Striker- Zlatan Ibrahimović
His ability to use his supreme physique gives him the edge over most defenders. He has been a regular goalscorer in United squad easing the burden off Rooney.
