The Sun has recently reported that Newcastle United are among several clubs hoping to land Olympiacos playmaker Aguibou Camara. It has been claimed that the Magpies are facing competition from Liverpool and Leicester City in the race to sign the Guinea international.
Camara’s Impressive Run Of Form In Turkish Football
The 20-year-old is having a productive season in Turkish football as he has been responsible for putting in a few dazzling displays for Olympiacos recently. Camara has scored five goals and secured two assists in 17 matches for his current club during this campaign across various competitions.
The talented youngster has proven himself to be a valuable contributor in Olympiacos’ first XI but only time will tell whether he can make the step up and challenge for a regular starting spot in Premier League football if any of his potential suitors, including Newcastle, end up recruiting him next year.

Newcastle United Eager To Land Camara: Wise Move For Eddie Howe?
Camara can use his quickness and agility to make some impressive runs with the ball towards the opponent’s penalty area. He has got great balance that makes him a hard man to dispossess when he is dribbling at full swing in the final third.
The eight-time Guinea international has added some goals and assists to his name this season which has raised his stock in Turkish football. However, there are some concerns over whether he can cope with the physical nature and high intensity of English football if the Magpies manage to win the race for his services.
At 20, Camara is a star in the making, so the Tyneside giants would be wise to engineer a move to lure him to St. James’ Park this January. He will bring some much-needed firepower to Howe’s attack and could go on to become a future star in English football if he can continue improving himself with each year. With all things considered, Camara will be an excellent addition to the Magpies squad but only if Howe is planning to play him regularly in the coming seasons.
