West Ham United clashed heads with the Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux after their impressive victory against Liverpool last gamweek. Moyes’s men started the game on the frontfoot but couldn’t manage to score before Wolves started dominating and creating chances. The breakthrough came from Raul Jimenez in the 58th minute as West Ham went down to Wolves and failed to close the gap with the table toppers.

The Polish goalkeeper made some crucial saves to keep West Ham in the game.

The young fullback didn’t have his best day against Hwang Hee-Chan as he was caught out a few times while marking his man. Going forward he couldn’t provide much today.
CB: Kurt Zouma – 6.5/10
The centre-back had a difficult outing as he had to defend waves of Wolves attack throughout the 90 minutes. Although he defended well for most parts of the game but failed to close down Jimenez whose strike went on to be decisive.
CB: Craig Dawson – 7/10
Dawson was solid at the back. He headed away most of the Wolves crosses which came into the box and won a lot of aerial duels.

The left fullback created a few chances with his crosses for the attackers but they failed to capitalize on them. Cresswell also made some crucial blocks to keep the Hammers in the game.

CM: Declan Rice – 6/10
The English midfielder had an off day fending off the quick pacy Wolves attacker in this game. He got caught out a few times while carrying the ball out which resulted in Wolves making counter-attacks.
RW: Jarrod Bowen – 6/10
Bowen tried to affect the game by dribbling past the Wolves defenders but he lacked the end-product today.
CAM: Pablo Fornals – 5.5/10
Fornals didn’t have a good day at the office as he was dispossessed a lot of times and hardly had a sniff in the game.
LW: Said Benrahma – 6/10
The Algerian worked hard pressing the West Ham players but lacked creativity in the attacking third.
ST: Michail Antonio – 6/10
Antonio missed a couple of opportunities but hardly any clear cut chance fell to him as he was marked out of the game by the Wolves defenders.
Substitutes:
