Arsenal welcomed Watford at the Emirates Stadium earlier this afternoon as they hoped to collect maximum points in front of their home fans. The Gunners dominated the game but struggled to break the opposition down in the first half. Mikel Arteta’s players were held to a scoreless draw at half-time.
The North London outfit showed more desire to get a goal early in the second half and managed to break the deadlock in the 56th minute courtesy of Emile Smith Rowe’s goal. Juraj Kucka was given his marching orders by the referee in the latter stages as the match ended with the home side securing a narrow 1-0 victory at the English capital.
