Manchester City entertained Club Brugge at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result at home. The home side made a dominant start to the game and took the lead in the 15th minute when Phil Foden found the back of the net. However, the visitors struck back just two minutes later as John Stones scored an unfortunate own goal. Both teams went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.
Riyad Mahrez managed to restore Man City’s one-goal advantage just nine minutes into the second half before Raheem Sterling made the points secure when he added another goal in the 72nd minute. Man City were not done yet as Gabriel Jesus put the icing on the cake with a classy finish in injury-time. The contest ended with the Mancunian giants earning a dominant 4-0 victory at the Etihad.
