Despite many clubs willing to sign Riechedly Bazoer, Arsenal are one of the favourites to land the midfielder. Although Arsene Wenger currently has enough number of midfielders, he is still very adamant to bring the player to Emirates.
The player has been excluded from their Europa League squad against Panathinaikos after he refused to train. Ajax boss Peter Bosz earlier hinted that the player could leave in January.
Wenger had tried to sign the player in past but talks didn’t materialise that time. However, he wants to revive his interest in the 6ft tall midfielder who has already won six caps for Netherland. Last year, the 20-year old caught attention with his brilliant performance in the middle of the park.
He made 29 appearances in the league last term scoring 5 goals and registering 4 assists. Should the Gunners manage to sign him he could be the next Patrick Vieira. He has the ideal physique to shrug off an opponent’s challenge. Added to that are his excellent vision and passing ability from the deep which make him a suitable signing for the North Londoners.
Santi Cazorla is set for a long injury layoff and the Dutch midfielder could take his place.
