Manchester City youngster Kelechi Iheanacho revealed that he is ready to fill in shoes of Sergio Aguero. The Argentine has been suspended by the FA for four matches after a reckless tackle on Chelsea defender David Luiz.
Iheanacho grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he scored City’s only goal against Celtic in a 1-1 draw in the Champions League. The 20-year-old started his first match for the English side after almost a month.
Aguero has been very decisive behind City’s form as the Argentine international has already netted 16 goals till now. City will have to rely a lot on the Nigerian striker as they have a couple of tough fixtures when they will face Leicester City and Arsenal in upcoming matches.
Iheanacho relishes the opportunity and said, “It’s a big opportunity for me now.
“Sergio’s not around so I have to take responsibility and fill the gap.
“I need to work really hard to prove myself to the team and help the team get these points we need in the Premier League.”
