According to Fichajes, Tottenham are eyeing a move for Alvaro Morata. The Juventus forward has been identified as a perfect replacement for Harry Kane, who is expected to leave the club in the near future. Fabio Paratici shares a good relationship with Morata, with the Spaniard also having an experience of playing in English football due to his short-lived span at Chelsea.

Alvaro Morata: Player Profile

Formerly of Real Madrid and Chelsea, Alvaro Morata has been a major part of Juventus in recent years, featuring in 144 competitive matches during his two spells at the club.

A striker by trade, Morata had made a name for himself due to his technical abilities and tactical versatility. He was a useful attacking partner for players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez during his time at Real Madrid and Juventus respectively.

In recent years, Morata has transformed himself into more of a target man. Standing at 1.87m, the Spaniard is often a menace in the air while his ability to sniff goalscoring opportunities has considerably improved.

The 28-year-old is not the most prolific striker around, failing to score more than 15 goals in a season throughout his professional career. But he certainly brings a wealth of experience to the table, having featured in over 100 games each in the Spanish and Italian top-flight while making almost 50 appearances in the Premier League.

Is He A Good Option For Tottenham?

The Spanish international has the experience of playing in English football and is a proven target man who can also offer the winning mentality to the team. He does often face criticism for his lack of goalscoring prowess, but the former Real Madrid star can certainly prove to be an ideal supporting player for Kane and Son in the final third, during the second half of the campaign.

Eventually, Morata can settle into the role of becoming Tottenham’s first-choice forward, potentially making him a useful addition to the Spurs team, in the upcoming January transfer window.
