Chelsea have joined the race to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco. The Spaniard struggled for game time last season but has been playing quite regular recently due to the latest injury to Toni Kroos and has racked up 11 appearances in the La Liga.
The playmaker was signed from Malaga in 2013 but has never started in more than 26 league games in a season.
Zinedine Zidane is reportedly impressed with the player’s form and the La Liga giants could offer him a new contract, but once the first team regulars return, he could warm the bench again.
Tottenham Hotspur were very eager to take the player on loan in the last transfer window but the 24-year-old preferred to stay at Madrid and wanted to prove his mettle.
Isco is one of the best dribblers among the current lot of young players. His passing and vision for make him one of the most sought after players on the European circuit.
Chelsea are ready to offer him double to his current wages to entice and land him at Stamford Bridge. He has 18 months left on his current contract.
