Going through the ranks in the club, he did earn several other loan spells as well. However, when Celtic showed interest in him, that was the moment he left his homeland. The Scottish club signed him on a season-long loan. And from there, Odsonne Edouard made his debut in the UEFA Champions League as well. He scored the winning goal in the 69th minute of a 3–2 win over rivals Rangers at Ibrox Stadium, and seal Celtic’s seventh consecutive league title.
