Despite dominating most of the game, Real Madrid failed to become any kind of threat for a quiet Barcelona, who were fully aware of their weaknesses and played to their strength. Real Madrid, however, maintain their five-point lead at the top.
Here are the Real Madrid player ratings from the game Vs Barcelona.
Navas (7/10)- Barcelona were hardly threatening in the game and the only crucial thing Navas had to maintain throughout was his concentration and he did that perfectly. He couldn’t do much about the goal as it was too close to him to react.
Marcelo (8/10)- Was his uber-adventurous self as usual. Sergi Roberto’s poor defending saw him in wide areas on multiple occasions, but his crosses were very poor. Either they were blocked or went haywire. But, he was a constant threat nevertheless and provided 7 successful attacking third passes.
Ramos (8.5/10)- Was pretty physical throughout the game and was lucky to escape bookings early on. And, the Spanish leader repeated his big match performance yet again.
An unmarked Ramos fired a bullet right at the end to level the game. He is easily Real Madrid’s most important player.
Varane (8.5/10)- It was quite a surprising inclusion with Pepe sitting on the bench. But the Frenchman was up for it. He recovered the ball 10 times from Barcelona players and also had two crucial tackles.
It could be seen why he is such a highly-rated defender in Europe and Mourinho wants him so desperately.

Carvajal (8/10)- He stuck to Neymar the whole game and at times was too fast for Alba. His crosses, however, lacked intent and almost never found Benzema or Ronaldo in the penalty box.
He picked up a yellow card yet again, his 6th booking of La Liga after serving a suspension of 5 cards recently. Provided 11 attacking third passes, though.
