Jurgen Klopp has refused to accept the rumours that Daniel Sturridge will be leaving the club in January. The Liverpool forward hasn’t been in the thick of the action for the Reds and has featured in only four Premier League games this season. The striker is currently sidelined with a calf problem and had missed matches against Leeds United and Sunderland.
West Ham United are reportedly very keen to bring the player to the London Stadium as Slaven Bilic is desperate to add attacking power to his ranks. Diafra Sakho is set to miss a lengthy period while Simone Zaza is yet to open his account and is facing uncertainty over his future.
Klopp is ready to reject any bid from the Hammers , “There is no thought of selling any player from 1st team squad
“I don’t think it makes sense (to sell).
“Unfortunately, Daniel is not in training. That is more important than transfers.”
The Liverpool boss also provided injury updates on Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana. “Yes there will be a few changes.
“I am happy about each player back in training. Adam is training, yesterday was the first session. We need to see how he reacts. Yesterday was quite intense.
“Roberto (Firmino) trained yesterday. Still a little bit of pain but not that serious.”
