Manchester United clashed heads with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux earlier tonight as they looked to finish the season strongly. Anthony Elanga broke the deadlock around the 13-minute-mark as he headed the ball past Rui Patricio to make it 1-0 for the visitors. Nelson Semedo bagged the equaliser in the 39th-minute, but a late first-half penalty goal from Juan Mata turned out to be the winner as the match ended 2-1.

The English shot-stopper was not tested too often, but there’s hardly anything he could have done to stop Nelson Semedo from finding the back of the net.

The 20-year-old full-back made some good overlapping runs to support his side’s attacking gameplay down the right-wing and was defensively strong as well.
Eric Bailly – 7/10
The Ivorian centre-back won some crucial headers and made numerous important challenges to keep things tidy at the back.
Axel Tuanzebe – 9/10
Tuanzebe was a rock at the back for the visitors tonight. He made several important blocks and timed his tackles perfectly to deal with whatever was thrown at him.
Alex Telles – 6.5/10
The Brazilain centre-back didn’t do much wrong defensively and partnered well with Daniel James down the left flank.
Nemanja Matic – 5/10
The Serbian midfielder was too slow and clumsy at the centre of the park tonight. The Wolves attackers could get past him with little to no effort, and that’s exactly what led to Nelson Semedo’s goal.
Donny van de Beek – 6.5/10
The Dutchman’s ball distribution was impressive, to say the least. In addition, he coordinated well with his teammates and made chance creation easier for his side.
Daniel James – 7/10
The Welshman got himself the assist for Elanga’s goal, but he was rather poor in the final third. He should have converted the chance which was set up by Amad Diallo early in the 58th minute.
Amad Diallo – 7/10
The Ivorian winger sprayed some key passes forward, and his swift movement created all sorts of problems for the Wolves defenders.
Juan Mata – 8/10
The Spaniard kept his composure to convert from the spot right before the half-time whistle.
Anthony Elanga – 8.5/10
The 19-year-old scored the first goal of the game to put his side in the lead. He looked very dangerous in the first half but got very limited opportunities in the second forty-five minutes.
