In a recent report, Marca has stated that Real Madrid are looking to raise funds for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe this summer. It is believed that Los Blancos are willing to sell multiple players to fund a move for the French wing wizard in this off-season (via Marca).
Mbappe’s Excellent Numbers At Parc des Princes This Season
Mbappe has proven his worth as one of the best players in European football by putting in several match-winning performances for the French outfit this season. The Paris-born attacker has banged in 41 goals and provided 11 assists in 46 matches for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this term across multiple competitions.
The ex-Monaco sensation has been a consistent performer as the focal point of the PSG attack based on his average of 3.4 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.9 dribbles per game in the Ligue 1 this season. He has even been excellent when distributing possession in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 81% in the French top-flight (stats via whoscored).
The 22-year-old is a generational talent and would add a lot of long-term value to the Madrid giants if they can find a way to get a deal done for him when the transfer window commences later this year.
What Will The French Superstar Add To Zinedine Zidane’s Team?
Mbappe has electric pace in his locker and can make some unstoppable runs in behind the opposition backline. He has already established himself amongst Europe’s top goal-scorers and excels at creating some meaningful openings for others around him in the attacking end of the pitch.
The French youngster would be a massive coup for any top-flight side in Europe, including Real Madrid. We can expect him to add plenty of goals and creativity to Zidane’s frontline. Furthermore, Mbappe would serve as a perfect long-term replacement for Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
At 22, the France international has the potential to become one of the best players of his generation and could help bring even more success to the Bernabeu. However, it will be far from easy for Madrid president Florentino Perez to orchestrate a move to lure Mbappe to the Spanish capital during this summer transfer window. If Los Blancos can somehow pull off such a transfer, it will benefit them in the long run as the Frenchman’s value is only going to skyrocket in the years to come.
