Real Madrid will face off against Granada at Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes on Thursday night as they hope to secure all three points on the road. Los Blancos were held to a 2-2 draw by Sevilla earlier this week, so this game could be a perfect opportunity for them to return to winning ways and put some pressure on Atletico Madrid in the title race.
Zinedine Zidane could opt for a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one tweak to his first-team for this midweek clash. Marco Asensio could get a start to feature on the right flank but Álvaro Odriozola is a minor doubt for this game due to a thigh problem.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Granada
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will operate in between the sticks for Los Blancos after shipping in two goals in his last league outing. Eder Militao will resume his partnership with Nacho at the heart of the Madrid backline as they focus on keeping the Granada attackers quiet throughout the game.
Marcelo will be a guaranteed starter at left-back in the injury absence of Ferland Mendy, who is out of action with a muscle problem. As mentioned earlier, Odriozola will be in a race against time to be fit for this game, so Zidane could choose to name Federico Valverde as a makeshift right-back.
Miguel Gutiérrez will be available for selection on the bench as he offers cover for the left-back position.
Midfield
Toni Kroos, Casemiro and Luka Modric could make up Zidane’s midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them will have to work hard towards orchestrating some clear-cut chances for their teammates up top to win this game.
Isco will have to settle for a place on the bench once again but could come on to make an impact in the latter stages if needed.
Attack
Vinicius Junior will get a chance to impress down the left-wing while Marco Asensio fills in on the other flank as the right-sided wide player after his goal-scoring performance versus Sevilla. Karim Benzema will lead the line for the Madrid giants down the middle.
Rodrygo, Eden Hazard and Mariano will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the second half if Zidane decides to call upon their services.
