In a recent report, Tuttosport has claimed that Liverpool are facing fierce competition in pursuit of Torino centre-forward Andrea Belotti. It is understood that the Reds could have to battle it out with Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Olympique Lyonnais among other top clubs from Italy in the race to acquire the services of the Italian marksman (via Tuttosport).

The 27-year-old is enjoying a decent season with the Turin outfit because he has caught the eye with his performances as the focal point of Davide Nicola’s attack. Belotti has registered 12 goals and seven assists in 30 matches for the Italian outfit this term in multiple competitions.
The Calcinate-born sensation has managed to contribute in both ends of the field based on his average of 0.9 tackles, 0.6 clearances, 3.3 shots, 1.2 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per game in Serie A this season. However, he has been a bit sloppy with his ball distribution after completing just 70.1% of his attempted passes in league football (stats via whoscored).
Belotti has proven his worth as a good centre-forward but the jury is still out on whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League where he might find it difficult to cope with the high intensity of English football.
