West Bromwich Albion will take on Watford on match day 14 of the Premier League at the Hawthorns. Both sides have been in decent form this season and find themselves in the top half of the table. Watford are eighth with 18 points while Tony Pulis’ West Brom are sitting ninth, just one point behind the Hornets.
After successive wins away at Leicester and at home to Burnley, West Brom might be a touch disappointed with a 1-1 draw away at Hull last weekend. Losing two points against a struggling Hull City side is far from good enough. The point took their tally up to 17, good enough for a place in the top half of the log as we enter the month of December.
West Brom are known as a defensive side mostly due to their manager Tony Pulis being a defensive-minded manager. However, we have seen the Baggies impressing attacking wise this season too. Watford, on the other hand, have been notable attacking wise too but have struggled to keep away opponents from scoring. This promises to be a good game and we have to wait and see who comes out winners from this one.
Here is the predicted West Brom lineup Vs Watford.
Defence
Ben Foster will definitely start under the bar and will be looking to keep impressing. Craig Dawson will keep his place in the right-back position. Pulis is likely to stick to the centre-back pairing of Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans. Allan Nyom is likely to keep his place in the left-back position.
Midfield
Argentine combative midfielder Claudio Yacob will keep his place in the middle of the park. The 29-year-old is an out and out destroyer in midfield and needs to be at his best in order to nullify the midfield trio of Watford who have been impressive this season.
Skipper Darren Fletcher is likely to partner Yacob in midfield. The duo need to assure that they can stamp their authority in midfield. Club record signing Nacer Chadli has done an excellent job since his move to Hawthorns from Spurs and is likely to make his way back to the starting XI against Watford.
Attack
Jose Salomon Rondon’s form has been pretty impressive this season and will keep his place up front. Matt Phillips will keep his place on the right flank. Experienced Chris Brunt could start on the left flank ahead of James McClean.
