West Ham United will entertain Leicester City at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they focus on securing all three points at home which would consolidate their position in the Premier League’s top four. The Hammers managed to earn a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday night, so a win would give them a lot of confidence ahead of this weekend’s crucial Premier League clash versus the Foxes.
David Moyes could choose to go with the 3-4-3 formation and will be forced to make one change to his team this weekend. Michail Antonio won’t be risked in this game after he picked up a thigh injury, so Jarrod Bowen might get the nod to lead the charge for the East London giants in the final third.
3-4-3 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will feature in between the sticks for the Hammers after shipping in two goals versus Wolves in his last appearance in the Premier League. Moyes could name a back three of Aaron Cresswell, Issa Diop and Craig Dawson as they look to neutralize the threat of Leicester’s Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho during the game.
Fabian Balbuena will have to be satisfied with a spot on the bench as he offers cover for the centre-back positions.
Midfield
Mark Noble and Tomas Soucek will function as the holding midfielders for West Ham this weekend. Both of them could look to disrupt Leicester’s flow in the game at the centre of the park. Arthur Masuaku will once again operate as a left wing-back while Vladimír Coufal fills in as wing-back on the right flank.
Ben Johnson and Ryan Fredericks will be available for selection on the bench as they await their opportunity to feature in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
The Hammers frontline will be comprised of Jesse Lingard, Jarrod Bowen and Pablo Fornals as the talented trio look to find some weaknesses in the Foxes backline on Sunday afternoon. Lingard scored a wonderful solo goal in his last league outing, so his confidence will be sky-high going into this game.
Michail Antonio will probably miss this match but Said Benrahma will be named on the bench and could come on to make an impact in the latter stages if Moyes calls upon his services.
