Leicester City will lock horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon as they look to secure a positive result and boost their chances of securing a top-four spot in the Premier League table. The Foxes suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester City last weekend, so they will be eager to produce a much-improved display versus the Hammers.
Brendan Rodgers is expected to stick with his favored 3-4-1-2 formation and will probably make one change to his first-team for this game. Ricardo Pereira could come into the side to replace Marc Albrighton on the right-wing. However, both Wes Morgan and Caglar Soyuncu are unlikely to be risked in this match as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.
3-4-1-2 Leicester City Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Kasper Schmeichel will retain his spot in between the sticks for the East Midlands giants after shipping in two goals against Man City in his last league appearance. Rodgers will go with a back three of Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans and Daniel Amartey as they try to limit the chances that West Ham create during the 90 minutes.
Midfield
Youri Tielemans and Wilfred Ndidi will assume the duties of the central midfielders. The dynamic duo’s main goal would be to hamper West Ham’s rhythm in the game at the centre of the park. Timothy Castagne will continue to function as the left wing-back while Ricardo Pereira looks to impress on the right flank. Both of them need to find a way to stop the Hammers from getting in behind them out on the flanks.
Ayoze Perez will play in the number ten position once again as he looks to create some meaningful openings in the attacking third. James Maddison, Luke Thomas and Nampalys Mendy will have to settle for a place on the bench.
Attack
Kelechi Iheanacho will resume his attacking partnership with Jamie Vardy in the final third. Both strikers failed to find the back of the net versus Man City, so they will be eager to return to their goal-scoring ways this weekend.
