ESPN has recently provided an update on Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham’s future amid recent interest from West Ham United. It is understood that the Blues have decided to put contract talks with the English striker on hold, which could open the door for the Hammers to recruit him at the end of this campaign (via ESPN).

Abraham has experienced a campaign of mixed emotions as he has impressed occasionally, but most of his good work has been hampered by injuries of late. The London-born marksman has featured in 30 matches for the West London club this term, registering 12 goals and six assists in the process across all competitions.
The 23-year-old has failed to be consistent with his all-round contributions in the final third after averaging 1.6 shots, 0.5 key passes and 0.3 dribbles per game in the Premier League this season. Abraham also needs to improve his accuracy when distributing the ball because he has completed just 72.8% of his attempted passes in the English first division (stats via whoscored).

Abraham is a deceptively quick forward who can use his strong 1.90m frame to make some powerful runs with the ball in the final third. On his day, he can be a clinical finisher inside the opponent’s penalty box and has the ability to set-up some decent chances for his teammates as well.
The six-time England international is a dominant force in the air and can time his headers well to find the back of the net. However, Abraham needs to be more consistent in terms of his goal-scoring and has to prove his fitness if he intends to taste success at the top level.

West Ham boss David Moyes can undoubtedly use a striker of Abraham’s skillset as he could be a perfect complement to Michail Antonio at the London Stadium.
