Antonio Conte has said he will not force Thibaut Courtois to change his game. Courtois has been struggling this season with his ball distribution. The Belgian keeper gave the ball a number of times in the match against Tottenham.
Chelsea have conceded a single goal in their last seven matches, which was by Christian Eriksen.
Courtois has an average 69% distribution success in this season. He averages 11 long passes per match, one-third of his average in previous seasons.
Conte said he will not change his instruction, “No, because we work on this aspect [playing out from the back].
“I want to play from the back and I ask this of my players, so the fault is mine always.
“We work on this during training sessions. I want to see this.
“We can improve a lot when playing from the back, but that is what I want to see. It’s important to start from the back.”
