Real Madrid are planning a major swoop as they are targeting Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois.
Chelsea are currently having a dream run as they have won their last seven matches in the Premier League, conceding not a single goal. No goalkeeper has kept more clean sheets than Thibaut Courtois (7) in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season.
Madrid have been searching for a keeper after the departure of Iker Casillas. They tried to sign David De Gea on the deadline day but thanks to a fax machine delay, they couldn’t sign the Spanish custodian and current manager Jose Mourinho will block any offer for the keeper who has been in sublime form at the goal.
Chelsea are reportedly trying to tie Courtois for two more seasons with no pay rise. Courtois is very unhappy with the offer and could run down his current contract if the condition remains like this.
Keylor Navas has been decent for the Los Blancos in this season. Courtois admitted his eagerness to return to Spain where he spent three seasons at Atletico Madrid. Real are currently serving a transfer ban and could try to sign the keeper once the ban ends.
