Liverpool will lock horns with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon hoping to bounce back from their dismal 4-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City last weekend. The Reds are in dire need to return to winning ways this weekend following a couple of poor displays at Anfield in the Premier League.
Jurgen Klopp will probably set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one change to his first-team for this game. Ozan Kabak could make his Liverpool debut in this match which would mean Jordan Henderson will step up to play in central midfield while Curtis Jones once again drops to the bench.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Leicester City
Defence
Alisson Becker will continue to feature in goal for the Reds despite having a nightmare game versus Man City last weekend when he committed two uncharacteristic errors to cost his team the game. As mentioned earlier, Ozan Kabak could come into the side to play alongside Fabinho at the heart of Klopp’s defence as they try to neutralise the threat of Leicester’s Jamie Vardy during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a nailed-on starter at right-back. The young full-back will once again carry most of the creative workload for his side down the right flank. Andrew Robertson will fill in on the other side as the left-back.
Neco Williams and Ben Davies will make up the numbers on the Liverpool bench as they offer cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Georginio Wijnaldum will play along with Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson in the Liverpool midfield as they focus on dominating the ball and finding some holes in the Foxes defence with their passing.
James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones will have to be content with a place on the bench but could come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Sadio Mane will function on the left flank while Mohamed Salah looks to weave his magic as the right-sided wide player. Roberto Firmino will once again lead the line for the Merseyside giants down the middle.
Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri will be named on Klopp’s bench as they await their chance to influence the game in the latter stages if required.
