Real Madrid make the trip to Huesca to square off at the Estadio El Alcoraz Stadium on Matchday 22 of La Liga Santander. The Whites were humbled by Levante at home the previous weekend and will be roaring to get back to winning ways against a 20th placed Huesca side.
Real Madrid have been heavily affected in the defensive department with Sergio Ramos, Dani Carvajal, Nacho Fernandez and Lucas Vasquez all ruled out of the tie due to medical reasons. To add to the list, Rodrygo and Federico Valverde too are out of contention for this fixture.
The Whites are expected to field a makeshift backline with several notable absentees. Eder Militao will be serving his red card suspension. Here’s Real Madrid’s predicted line-up against Huesca.

Defence
Thibaut Courtois will be taking charge between the posts for Real Madrid. The Belgian has made several crucial saves for his side in recent times, and the same would be expected of him on Saturday evening. Alvaro Odriozola will occupy the right-back slot with Dani Carvajal out injured. The Spaniard would want to leave an impression in these rare minutes being offered to him. A very unlikely centre back pairing for Raphael Varane and Casemiro is expected to take to the field on the weekend. Fernando Mendy will occupy the left-back slot ahead of Marcelo.
Midfield
Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will start in midfield. The two are vital to the side, and Real’s entire side is heavily reliant on them. Toni Kroos will want to step up his game with the UEFA Champions League fixture against Atalanta just around the corner. Isco would be the third man in midfield and have a rather free role ahead of Madrid’s crucial midfield duo of Kroos and Modric.
Attack
Marco Asensio will start on the right-hand side. The Spaniard would want to be right on top of his game against Huesca. Karim Benzema will be leading Madrid’s attack line. The Santiago Bernabeu faithful would hope that the French striker carries the right pair of striking boots on this trip. Eden Hazard will start on the left flank. The Belgian has come to life in recent games and will want to build on his form with a crunch match lined up in the Champions League.
