Manchester United faced off against Arsenal at the Emirates earlier tonight hoping to pick up a win and return to their winning ways in the Premier League. The match ended goalless as neither side could manage to find the back of the net; however, the game had plenty of action to keep the fans on the edge of their seats as both the teams got plenty of convertible chances throughout the game. Alexandre Lacazette struck the bar from a direct free-kick whereas Edinson Cavani failed to slot it past Leno from a few yards out.

The Spanish shot-stopper was rarely put to work by the Arsenal frontmen, but he came out on top whenever tested.

The English full-back showed the eagerness to help his side on the other end of the pitch as he made numerous overlapping runs beyond Marcus Rashford to help develop the attacks and even got into the box more often.
Harry Maguire – 8/10
The skipper made some crucial blocks and clearances to keep things tidy at the back.
Victor Lindelof – 7/10
The Swedish centre-half maintained his positioning throughout the match as he hardly let anyone run beyond his shoulders. Paired well with Maguire.
Luke Shaw – 7.5/10
The England international’s attacking gameplay was exceptional, but he was frequently getting outpaced by Nicolas Pepe down the left-flank.
Fred – 6.5/10
Came very close to breaking the deadlock around the 20-minute mark but was denied by a brilliant save from Leno. Besides, the Brazilian international put up a decent performance defensively as he broke down a few threatening counter-attacks.
Scott McTominay – 6/10
The Scottish midfielder showed great energy at the centre of the park but was forced off the pitch after 37 minutes due to a stomach complaint.
Paul Pogba – 6.5/10
The Frenchman’s overall ball distribution was decent; however, he failed to create anything in creative terms.
Bruno Fernandes – 6.5/10
The Portuguese playmaker failed to hit his usual high standards as he struggled to produce meaningful chances for the frontmen.
Marcus Rashford – 6/10
The 23-year-old had a clear-cut chance from a few yards out late into the first half; however, his delay in taking the shot led to a complete blunder. Nonetheless, he was a constant menace down the right-hand side throughout the ninety minutes.
Edinson Cavani – 5/10
The Uruguayan striker was a frustrating watch tonight as he kept missing chances from a few yards out.
