Defence
Thibaut Courtois will take command in goal for the Whites. The Belgian will want to add to his clean-sheet collection for the season when Madrid take to the field against Levante. Lucas Vasquez will be occupying the right-back position with Dani Carvajal out injured. A centre back pairing of Eder Militao and Raphael Varane will be responsible for keeping the Levante attack in check on Saturday. Fernland Mendy will be starting at the left-back position. Alvaro Odriozola and Marcelo will make up the numbers on the bench.
Midfield
A midfield trident of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro is expected to take to the field against the visitors. Modric has been hitting the higher gears with relative ease in recent games and a similar performance would be expected out of the Croatian wizard. Toni Kroos will be burdened with the responsibility of keeping the game ticking for Madrid from the first whistle to the last. Casemiro will act as a firewall for the Madrid backline which will be without the services of Sergio Ramos.
Attack
Marco Asensio will start on the right flank. The Spaniard will be a vital part of Madrid’s plans on Saturday keeping in mind the sort of impact he has had in recent fixtures. Karim Benzema will occupy the number nine slot. The striker will be keen on adding to his tally of 10 goals for the season in the Primera Division. Eden Hazard will be starting on the left flank. The Belgian will have the attention of the press focussed on him after his stellar show last time around against Alaves.
