Zlatan Ibrahimović has sent warnings to his Manchester United teammates over the lacklustre performances of late.
United have been lacking the creativity this season as they have scored only 17 goals compared to Liverpool’s 32, the League’s highest scorers. Despite playing well in few matches United failed to convert the chances they have created. Added to that, Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial have been awful this season.
Mourinho gave a rare chance to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and the Armenian didn’t disappoint by giving a brilliant performance in a 4-0 win over Feyenoord.
Zlatan is the Red Devil’s highest scorer till now and has urged his fellow players to live up to the expectations.
Zlatan said, “At the top level you need to deliver. If you don’t deliver, someone will come in and take your place.”
Zlatan also praised Mkhitaryan, “I know who Micki is, I see it every day in training, so hopefully he showed everybody who he is and he now has the confidence to keep on doing that.
“He was injured, he had a moment when he was injured and he’s been training very hard, being very professional, so you just have to wait for your chance and, when you get your chance, you need to take it.”
