FA will not take any disciplinary action against Wayne Rooney over his late night drinking after the England-Scotland match.
England defeated Scotland 3-0 in a World Cup Qualifier and Rooney was apparently celebrating their win. It is being reported that he alongside with a couple of FA staffs kept drinking still almost 5am despite being repeatedly told by Gareth Southgate to go to bed.
Drunk pictures of the Manchester United forward had been published in almost all UK Dailies. If rumours are to be believed another 10 players spent that night in various night clubs. After the incident, FA issued a statement that they would look into the matter.
Rooney’s representatives kept in touch with FA and it is learned that the association will not take a step against the forward. It will be a huge boost for the player who recently put in a very spirited performance against Feyenoord in the Europa League to help the Red Devils winning the match 4-0.
