Barcelona are planning a shock move for Real Madrid midfield Isco. The 24-year old had been struggling to get back into the team. But since Toni Kroos has broken his foot, the Spaniard has been a regular in Zinedine Zidane’s team. His contract is scheduled to expire in 2018 but hasn’t been offered an extension.
Barcelona will reportedly try to sign him in 2018 after his contract gets over and will pay him a signing bonus if he does join them. But Isco is confident that he will extend his stay with the Spanish giants. “I still have one-and-a-half years left on my current contract.
“But the club and I are both keen to renew. I hope we can sort something out.
‘I am getting regular playing time now and I am happy to be able to help the team.”
Tottenham Hotspur are also mulling an option to bring the player to White Hart Lane. Real are currently undergoing a transfer ban and will prefer selling the player to Spurs rather than their archrivals.
