Tottenham Hotspur entertained Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier tonight looking to secure another victory in the Premier League. Spurs made a solid start to the game and took the lead in the 25th minute courtesy of Harry Kane’s goal. They hung on to their narrow advantage and went into the half-time interval one goal to the good.
The Cottagers kept themselves in the contest and finally managed to grab their deserved equaliser in the 74th minute via Ivan Cavaleiro’s goal. Both teams gave it their all to win the game in the latter stages but had to settle for a 1-1 draw after the full-time whistle.
Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player fared during the clash against the Cottagers.
GK: Hugo Lloris – 6.5/10
The French keeper made some solid saves at the back but won’t be happy after conceding a goal in the second half which extinguished his hopes of a clean sheet.
RB: Serge Aurier – 7.5/10
Aurier got stuck in with a few tackles inside his half and created some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third.
CB: Davinson Sanchez – 7/10
He was a commanding presence at the heart of Mourinho’s defence and made several clearances during the game to restrict the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Eric Dier – 6.5/10
Dier performed his defensive duties well, but like many of his teammates, he will be disappointed after conceding in the final quarter of the game.
LB: Reguilon – 8/10
The Spaniard was full of energy and running down the left flank. He produced a solid defensive display as well by making multiple crucial interceptions for his team. Reguilon ended the game with an assist to his name for setting up Kane’s goal in the first half.
CM: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg – 5.5/10
The former Southampton midfielder struggled to get a foothold in the game and put in a lacklustre display at the centre of the park.
CM: Harry Winks – 6.5/10
Winks showed great defensive awareness to win the ball back for his side quite a few times during the game. He was not afraid to have a shot at goal but needed to be more creative with his passing.
RM: Moussa Sissoko – 7/10
The French talent produced another industrious display for his team and deserves credit for helping out Aurier defensively at the back.
CAM: Tanguy Ndombele – 7.5/10
Ndombele bossed the game in the Fulham half and made many dangerous dribbles towards the opponent’s penalty box. He ran out of gas and got replaced in the second half.
LM: Heung-min Son – 5/10
The South Korean international squandered some promising chances to kill the game off. He lacked the cutting edge in the final third tonight.
ST: Harry Kane – 7/10
The English striker opened the goal-scoring with a brilliant header. However, he failed to put daylight between the two teams in the second half.
Substitutes:
CAM: Erik Lamela – 6/10
He hardly got a sniff at goal.
ST: Carlos Vinicius – N/A
Vinicius didn’t have enough time to influence the game.
