Manchester United played hosts to Watford at Old Trafford earlier tonight hoping to win and earn a spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup. The Red Devils made a dream start to the game as they took the lead in the fifth minute courtesy of Scott McTominay’s goal. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men controlled the game in the first half and went into the half-time interval with a one-goal lead.
Both teams fought hard in the second 45 minutes but couldn’t add to the goal tally as the contest ended 1-0 in favour of the Mancunian giants after the full-time whistle.
Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed during the clash versus the Hornets.

Henderson made some important saves on his way to securing a comfortable clean sheet at the Theatre of Dreams.

He did well to give a good account of himself as a makeshift right-back. However, Williams struggled to influence the game in the Watford half.
CB: Eric Bailly – 6/10
Bailly hardly had anything to do in the first half and was replaced in the 49th minute.

The English midfielder scored the only goal of the game in the fifth minute. He also worked hard to help this side dominate possession at the centre of the park.

The Dutch midfield ace made some crucial clearances during the 90 minutes and also engineered a couple of decent opportunities going forward.
RM: Juan Mata – 7/10
Mata was not afraid to have a go at goal and created some meaningful openings for others around him.
CAM: Jesse Lingard – 6.5/10
Lingard had a few bright moments but still didn’t do enough to get himself a goal.
LM: Daniel James – 7/10
The Welsh winger was always looking to test the Watford keeper, but there was no goal for him tonight.
