Henrikh Mkhitaryan has admitted it has been very hard for a footballer after being left out. Mkhitaryan was handed only his second start against Feyenoord after the 2-1 defeat to Manchester City and the playmaker proved his worth with a fine display.
Mkhitaryan arrived from Borussia Dortmund in a £26m transfer but hasn’t got the chance to show his best form yet. The playmaker has appeared only in seven games this season despite being fit. He was also linked with a loan move to his former club Borussia Dortmund but Jose Mourinho had rejected the claims saying that the player remains a part of his long-term plans.
The Armenian sounded very happy after the match, “It was a pleasure to play again, to start the game. I’ve tried to do my best and I think it’s a very good result for the team.
“It was very difficult to watch the team playing from the side. But you know you have to have passion, to work hard and try to take your next chance.”
