West Ham United will face off against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon hoping to pick up all three points from this home clash at the London Stadium. The Hammers suffered a 3-0 loss versus Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend, so they will be eager to go all out for the win against the Seagulls later this week.
David Moyes will opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation and could name Said Benrahma in his starting XI ahead of Mark Noble, who will have to settle for a place on the bench. However, Michail Antonio is unlikely to recover in time for this league encounter at the English capital.
4-2-3-1 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will operate in between the sticks for the Hammers after conceding three goals against the Blues last weekend. Angelo Ogbonna and Fabian Balbuena will assume the duties of the centre-backs as they look to restrict the Seagulls from registering a goal this weekend.
Vladimír Coufal will look to impress as the right-back while Aaron Cresswell fills in on the other flank at left-back. Moyes will ask them to be more adventurous than usual so that they can orchestrate a few inviting chances for their teammates to find the back of the net.
Issa Diop and Ryan Fredericks will make up the numbers on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will lineup as the holding midfielders as they focus on establishing their dominance at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Jarrod Bowen will play just ahead of them as they form the West Ham attack.
Mark Noble might be demoted to the bench following his underwhelming display versus Frank Lampard’s men last weekend.
Attack
Sebastien Haller will once again operate as the lone centre-forward up top. The French striker managed to get his name on the scoresheet in his last outing at the London Stadium. However, he can expect a tough afternoon while going up against the physically strong Brighton defenders this weekend.
As mentioned earlier, this game will come too soon for Antonio, but Andriy Yamorlenko should be available for selection on Moyes’ bench.
