Tottenham Hotspur’s winning run in the Premier League comes to an end as they were held by Crystal Palace in a 1-1 draw at Selhurst Park. The Lilywhites had a good start to the game, taking the early lead through Harry Kane. But they found it difficult to control the proceedings after the Eagles started pushing for the equaliser and were completely dominated in the second half, with Jeffrey Schlupp eventually levelling the score in the 81st minute.

Hugo Lloris 6.5/10
Hugo Lloris looked solid in between the sticks for the most part of the game. Unfortunately, the Frenchman wasn’t able to keep hold the ball in the 81st minute, thus leading to Schupp’s goal.
Serge Aurier 6.5/10
It was a game of two halves for Serge Aurier, who was a menace on the right flank in the first 45 minutes. He then struggled to cope with Ebrechi Eze after the restart as Palace eventually scored.
Toby Alderweireld 7/10
Toby Alderweireld was once again flawless in his build-up play, notably creating an excellent early chance for Kane in the first half. Defensively, the Belgian didn’t exactly make a mistake but had a difficult time getting the better of the feisty Christian Benteke.
Eric Dier 7.5/10
Eric Dier produced a decent defensive display once again. His imposing presence at the back was key in denying Palace a goal time and time again despite relentless pressure in the second half. The Englishman was also close to scoring late in the game, but his majestic freekick effort was marvellously saved by Vicente Guaita.
Sergio Reguilon 6.5/10
It was perhaps not the best of outings for the in-form Sergio Reguilon. The Spaniard may have preferred more freedom going forward and had evidently struggled in coping with the Palace attackers on the counter.
Moussa Sissoko 6.5/10
It is fair to acknowledge that Moussa Sissoko wasn’t well fitted for this game. He did provide energy and urgency in the middle of the park but his inability to control the ball and move forward translated into a lack of control for Spurs during possession phases.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg 7.5/10
It was yet another impressive display from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg despite Tottenham’s draw. The ex-Southampton midfielder remained competent, recovering possession for his side on multiple occasions. His approach play was decent, as well.
Steven Bergwijn 6/10
Steven Bergwijn didn’t exactly make an impact on the proceedings this evening. The Dutchman failed to provide the penetration and was largely anonymous in the second half.
Tanguy Ndombele 6.5/10
Tanguy Ndombele was a key cog in Tottenham’s creative game as usual, although the Frenchman might have preferred more freedom in the number ten role. He was subbed off around the hour-mark.
Son Heung-Min 6/10
Son Heung-Min was another attacker who struggled to impose himself this evening. The ex-Bayer Leverkusen star looked languid and wasn’t really impactful aside from the early stages of the game where he combined well with Kane.
Harry Kane 7.5/10
Harry Kane found the all-important goal with a long-range effort. The Englishman was by far the most active Tottenham attacker, proving to be a threat even when Spurs were sitting deep and inviting pressure. He could call himself unlucky for being denied a second goal by the excellent Guaita.

Giovani Lo Celso struggled to provide any real quality or creativity after replacing Ndombele midway through the second half. His final delivery for a freekick was underwhelming.
