Manchester United target Leon Bailey has said that he will join the club only on one condition; they have to guarantee him enough playing time.
The Genk winger has been a long-term target for United. He is basically a left winger but is also very comfortable on the other flank. United right now have a dearth of wingers as Memphis Depay has failed to justify his price tag so far while Ashley Young has been inconsistent.
The winger has bagged six goals in this season and has also expressed his interest in playing in the Premier League one day. “I’ve always dreamt of the Premier League.
But if, let’s say, Manchester United can’t guarantee me minutes, I will stay at Genk.
“When I go, where do I go? That is a matter for my management. From the moment there is something concrete, we’ll sit down at the table.”
The 19-year-old is considered as one of the best promising attackers in Europe. Bailey might have been rattled by Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s recent treatment by manager Jose Mourinho, though.
