Barcelona could potentially win their group if they can get all three points away at Ferencvaros on Wednesday night. The Catalan giants managed to earn a dominant 4-0 win over Osasuna last weekend. Hence, they will be quietly confident about their chances of success versus the Hungarian outfit in midweek.
Ronald Koeman will probably opt for his favoured 4-3-3 formation but is sweating on the fitness of Clement Lenglet who picked up a knock at the Nou Camp on Sunday. The French defender might not be risked for this game. At the other end, Martin Braithwaite could once again get the nod to lead the charge for Barca in the decisive end of the field.
4-3-3 Barcelona Predicted Lineup Vs Ferencvaros
Defence
Marc-André ter Stegen will feature in goal for the Catalans after he secured a clean sheet in each of his last two outings across all competitions. As mentioned earlier, Lenglet is unlikely to recover in time for this game, so Sergio Busquets might lineup alongside Óscar Mingueza as a makeshift centre-back. The defensive duo will have to find a way to keep things solid at the back in midweek.
Sergiño Dest will operate at right-back while Jordi Alba fills in on the other side as the left-back. Both full-backs will be given the license to get forward at every chance they get so that they can provide adequate support to the front players.
Midfield
Koeman’s midfield will be comprised of Philippe Coutinho, Frenkie de Jong and Pedri as they try to establish their dominance at the centre of the park. Coutinho managed to get his name on the scoresheet versus Osasuna last weekend which will keep him in high spirits going into this midweek clash away at Hungary.
Riqui Puig and Miralem Pjanic will be available for selection on the bench but could come on to feature in the second half if needed.
Attack
Antoine Griezmann will look to impress on the left-wing while Lionel Messi hopes to put in another match-winning performance from the right flank. Martin Braithwaite will once again get the responsibility to lead the line for Barca down the middle. All three players found the back of the net last weekend, so they will fancy their chances of getting the better off the Ferencvaros defenders on Wednesday night.
