West Ham United will play hosts to Aston Villa at the London Stadium on Monday night hoping to build on their impressive start to this Premier League campaign. The Hammers have won back to back matches against Fulham and Sheffield United respectively which will give them a lot of momentum heading into this upcoming clash versus the Villans.
David Moyes will probably stick with his favoured 3-4-3 formation and might name an unchanged side for this home encounter. We can expect to see Sebastien Haller lead the charge for the East London outfit up top.
3-4-3 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Aston Villa
Defence
Łukasz Fabiański will lineup in between the sticks for the Hammers after securing a clean sheet in each of his last two league outings. Moyes is expected to opt for a back three of Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna and Fabian Balbuena as the trio has already formed a good defensive understanding amongst each other.
All three centre-halves will have to devise a plan to cope with the threat of Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins. Issa Diop will have to be content with a place on the bench but could come on to feature in the second half if needed.
Midfield
Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek will operate as the holding midfielders as they look to overpower the Villans midfielders at the centre of the park. Moyes will hope that they can retain the ball well and orchestrate some clear-cut chances for their teammates to score. Arthur Masuaku will be a guaranteed starter down the left flank while Vladimír Coufal tries to impress by putting in another productive performance on the right-wing.
Manuel Lanzini, Mark Noble and Robert Snodgrass will make up the numbers on the bench.
Attack
Moyes will probably name a front three of Pablo Fornals, Sebastien Haller and Jarrod Bowen in the opposition half. Haller scored the only goal of the game versus Sheffield United which will give him a lot of confidence ahead of Monday night’s showdown at the London Stadium.
Said Benrahma will be available for selection on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine as a second-half substitute. However, Andriy Yarmolenko is unlikely to recover in time for this home match versus Dean Smith’s side.
