The Blues centre-back is struggling to get regular game time at West London this season, so Frank Lampard might consider sanctioning his loan departure during the winter transfer period (via The Telegraph).
Tomori’s Recent Frustrations At The English Capital
Tomori has only made three appearances for Chelsea this term, receiving a total of 224 minutes of game time in various competitions. The lack of game time has disrupted his recent progress at Stamford Bridge which is why Lampard should let him leave on loan at the start of next year.
The Calgary-born defensive ace was a valuable member of the Blues squad last season when he featured in 22 matches for them, registering two goals, one assist and four yellow cards on all fronts. The 22-year-old showed great maturity in the previous campaign as he averaged 1.9 tackles, 1.5 interceptions, 2.8 clearances, 0.5 shots and 0.6 dribbles per game in the Premier League. Tomori was also an accurate ball-distributor based on his pass completion rate of 87.4% in the English top tier (stats via whoscored).
The English centre-half needs to start games more often if he wants to continue getting better with each season.
