According to a recent report by the Daily Record, Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has admitted that he will depart Parkhead to move to a bigger league when the time is right. It had been clarified by Sussex Live earlier in the season that a host of Premier League clubs were interested in the attacker, but unfortunately for him, none of them seemed to take shape in time. The forward was the Celts’ record signing when he joined for £9m from Paris Saint Germain, having already spent a season on loan at the renowned Scottish club.
Although it has been clarified by his agent that Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard will eventually move on from Parkhead, whether or not that could happen in the near future remains to be seen. Speaking on the matter due to a French television interview with Telefoot, the French attacker said, “I’ve been here for three years, and for sure when the time comes I’ll think about leaving, look for a higher league. Right now I’m focused on this season and when the right time comes I’ll make the decision to go.”

The forward arrived at the Scottish giants as a prospective player for the future, and it must be conceded that few would’ve predicted the kind of form he would go on to display for them in the long run. He has featured just seven times in the league since the start of the campaign, while the arrival of Swiss striker Albian Ajeti has done little to help his cause as well. Unless things improve drastically in the near future, there’s every chance that Edouard could fall down the pecking order.
