Tottenham Hotspur are set to kickstart their Europa League campaign on Thursday when they host LASK. The Lilywhites were held to a demoralising draw by West Ham in their last match, with the club conceding three late goals. A win, therefore, could be imperative for Jose Mourinho, as the Portuguese tactician looks to get some pressure off his shoulders.

Defence
Given the hectic schedule of the 2020/21 campaign, Mourinho is destined to ring in the changes from the side that drew with the Hammers. Unfortunately, the Tottenham manager is missing out on the services of Japhet Tanganga due to injury while Joe Rodon has not been registered into the Europa League side.
Eric Dier, however, could return to the side after missing out the last game due to a slight knock. He should form the central defensive partnership with Davinson Sanchez with Toby Alderweireld returning to the bench.
There will be changes in the fullback slots, with Matt Doherty and Ben Davies coming in at the expense of Serge Aurier and Sergio Reguilon. Hugo Lloris, too, could make way for Joe Hart in goal as Mourinho looks to keep his side fresh.
Midfield
Harry Winks is almost guaranteed to feature against LASK, after settling for a place on the bench in the last game. Since this is a home game, Mourinho might be tempted to start with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, though the same cannot be said for Tanguy Ndombele.
The Frenchman is likely to make way for Erik Lamela, who might get the nod ahead of Giovani Lo Celso as the latter is dealing with a lack of match fitness. We might still see the ex-Real Betis star feature as a sub, though.
Attack
Lucas Moura is a favourite to get back into the starting lineup, replacing Steven Bergwijn. The Brazilian might partner Gareth Bale on the opposite flank, with the Welshman now looking to make an impact following a rather disappointing homecoming in the West Ham game. He could come in at the expense of Son Heung-Min.
Finally, the Tottenham attack might be led by new signing Carlos Vinicius, whose addition to the club will now allow Mourinho to rest his key striker Harry Kane.
